She is famous for her role in Coming to America, the romantic comedy that became a box office hit. Headley has also appeared in The Preacher's Wife (1996), and Johnson Family Vacation (2004). Headley was the character of the role of Detective Mimi Reed on ABC's daytime soap series All My Children from 1991-1994. She played the lead role in the Fox drama series 413 Hope St. (1997-1998) where she won a NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. Headley was the badass Jennifer Sallison on the Oprah Winfrey Network primetime soap show The Haves and the Have Nots from 2014 until the year 2016.
