Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney (born November 19, 1959)[2] is an American actor. Her performance on screen as well as on stage were a highlight of her professional career, which spanned over three decades. Janney received numerous accolades including the Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Her work earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney has also been nominated for the two Tony Awards. Janney was brought up between Dayton and Boston by her parents, was awarded a scholarship by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to further her education after graduating Kenyon College. Janney became a television star in 1999 as C. J. Cregg, a role she played on NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). She was awarded 4 Primetime Emmy Awards for this part.
