Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish and English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy has four brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's previous marriages. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six after which the family relocated to Victoria within London. Taylor-Joy explained the relocation was painful, and she refused to pursue a degree in English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was required to take her. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. At the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to concentrate on her acting career. From a young age Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her dream came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
